About

I’m Louise, Lou to most.

For over 15 years I’ve worked as an Art Director and Creative Director in fashion, music and culture. Before that I studied at Norwich School of Art and Design, where I fell in love with life drawing, and later at Brighton University for Graphic Design.

That first year at art school was the best of my life. Hours spent drawing, hands covered in charcoal, lost in the process. But reality set in: no trust fund, no roadmap for making art my living, and tutors nudging me toward something “more practical.” Graphic Design became my path. It served me well, building narratives, refining aesthetics, creating work that looked beautiful on the surface.

And yet, I kept being pulled back. Back to making by hand. To work that wasn’t polished for brands or performance metrics, but honest. Body of Feeling is my return to that place, to what feels real.

It began with scribbled notes and drawings I made for myself, things I didn’t know how to say out loud. When I shared them, people saw themselves in the work. There’s a strange comfort in discovering that what we think is uniquely ours is, in fact, shared.

In a world of content churn, automation and instant everything, Body of Feeling is slower. More deliberate. A space for raw, deeply human work: drawings and limited editions created to be kept, gifted, or simply acknowledged. Each piece is a small totem of truth, made to hold a moment still.

If this resonates, I’d love for you to join the Collectors List for first access to drops, and to share in the quiet rebellion of choosing what’s real.

Charcoal artwork and black and white of a man and a woman in a tight embrace. two lovers entwined art.
